Historical Society will host a special "Pot O’
Gold" Bingo fundraising event on Saturday, March 12th,
at the Funspot Bingo Hall, Route 3, The Weirs. Over $12,000
in prizes will be given away that evening and doors will
open at 3:00 p.m.
Two free get-away packages to Atlantic City will also be
given away that evening. Enter to win the two-night, three-day
stay for two at the Trump Plaza, including round-trip airfare
from Manchester Airport, at the LWHS-hosted Bingo games
every Tuesday and Saturday nights now through March 12th.
Players can enter at every one of these Bingo games, giving
each player a better chance to win the free Atlantic City
trip.
The “Pot O’ Gold” Bingo special will feature
a $40 package of seventeen Bingo games (18 cards per game),
including three “Winner-Take-All” games that
may well award in excess of $1,750 each. The “Carryover
Coverall” game is guaranteed to be $4,000. All other
regular games that night could pay as much as $240 each.
All prizes are based on attendance. The past two special
games, “Deep Freeze” in January and “Red
Hot” in February, were well attended; in fact, the
January game sold out all 400 packages.
The Bingo game will begin at 6:45 p.m., but doors will open
at 3:00 p.m. so come early to reserve your seat and enjoy
a catered buffet meal from Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant
or perhaps a drink from the full bar provided by the D.A.
Long Tavern.
Other cash prizes can be won through Pull-tab tickets sold
at 50 cents each with varying cash prizes from $10 to $499,
as well as larger jackpots on the “Progressive 13’s”
game. Some progressive jackpot games have paid out as much
as $27,000 in the past. Pull-tab tickets sold that evening
will include “Firehouse Fortune,” “The
Three Bears,” “Lucky 13’s,” “Weezils,”
“Gold Holders,” “Horse Race,” “King
of the Mountain,” “Pick-A-Pig,” “Bonus
50’s,” and “Living in the USA.”
