(June 15, 2006 – Weirs, NH) On Saturday, July 1,
the Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society will introduce
the new Early Bird session of Bingo games at the Funspot
Bingo Hall, Route 3, Weirs.
The Early Bird Session will begin at 4:30 p.m. and feature
a $10 9-card package of 11 regular games, paying an estimated
$80 each. Five games will offer an opportunity to double
the prize amount. Look for a lucky starburst symbol on each
card and, if the winning number on your card has the lucky
starburst symbol, the prize amount will be doubled.
“This new Early Bird Session provides additional
games for our regular Saturday night players and also an
opportunity for newcomers to try their hand at the game
--- for only $10 and an hour’s worth of their time,”
indicated LWHS Fundraising Coordinator Brendan Smith.
Doors will open at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoons. The
Early Bird Session will begin at 4:30 and end at approximately
5:15, with the regular Saturday night session sold separately
and beginning at 6:45.
The regular evening session has been updated and includes
a larger Winner Take All Early Bird game to kick off the
evening. The odd-even coverall game is sold separately at
$2.00 per strip. The last game of the night, a Carryover
Coverall Game, will award the entire jackpot (estimated
$3,000) if won in 49 numbers or less. Significant consolation
prizes are awarded if won in 50 or 51 numbers, with a guaranteed
payout in 52 numbers or more. The regular 17 game package
may be purchased in two different sizes: a $16 12-card package
or a $20 18-card package.
Prizes are based on actual attendance. Seating is limited
to 400 persons. Visitors are welcome to come early to enjoy
a catered buffet meal from Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant
served at 4:30 p.m. or a drink from the full bar provided
by the D.A. Long Tavern.
The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society is one of the
top Bingo Charity fundraisers in the State of New Hampshire
and hosts Bingo games every Tuesday and Saturday nights
at the Funspot Bingo Hall. In 2005, over 15 volunteers donated
approximately 5,200 hours for this fundraising activity
for the historical society.
The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society was established
to promote and preserve the history and heritage of Lake
Winnipesaukee. The historical society’s Lake Winnipesaukee
Museum is located directly on Route 3 in the Weirs, one

and is open all year Monday through Saturday from 10:00
