(October 4, 2006 – Weirs, NH) The Lake Winnipesaukee
Historical Society will host an October Super Bingo fundraising
event on Saturday, October 21st, at the Funspot Bingo Hall,
Route 3, Weirs. Over $12,000 in prizes will be given away.
Guests may come for a full day of Bingo, or choose from
one of the two sessions offered. Doors will open at 2:00
p.m.
The event will kick off with an Early Bird session at 4:30
p.m. This one-hour session will feature a $15 9-card package
of 10 regular games, paying an estimated $100 each, and
a Winner-Takes-All Double Bingo game, paying an estimated
$600.
The evening session will begin at 6:45 p.m. Your choice
of a $26 12-card package or a $30 18-card package will consist
of 11 regular games, paying an estimated $200 each. Two
Winner-Takes-All games may award $1,250 each; and the Carryover
Coverall game is estimated to pay $2,000. The first game
of the evening session will be an Odd-Even Coverall Winner-Takes-All
game sold separately for $2 per strip with an estimated
jackpot of $1,900. All prizes are based on attendance.
Pull-tab tickets will be sold at 50 cents each, paying
cash prizes up to $1,000. Free door prizes are given away
during the evening session’s intermission.
Guests may come for the Early Bird Session alone, or for
both the Early Bird and the Regular Game Session. Doors
will open at 2:00 p.m., so come early as seating is limited
to 400 persons. Enjoy a catered buffet meal from Hart's
Turkey Farm Restaurant or a drink from the full bar provided
by the D.A. Long Tavern while you wait for the games to
begin.
The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society hosts Bingo games
at the Funspot Bingo Hall every Tuesday and Saturday and
is one of the top Bingo Charity fundraisers in the State
of New Hampshire. In 2005, over 15 volunteers have donated
approximately 5,200 hours for this fundraising activity
for the historical society.
The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society is a 501(c)3
nonprofit organization established in 1985 to preserve and
promote the history and heritage of Lake Winnipesaukee and
vicinity. The historical society fulfills this mission in
large part through its Lake Winnipesaukee Museum which is
open year round, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. The museum is located directly on Route 3 in
the Weirs section of Laconia, one mile north of the Weirs
Beach sign, next door to Funspot and admission is free.
