This historic Richardsonian Romanesque-style building, built in 1892 for the Boston and Maine (B&M) Railroad, is a prominent feature of downtown Laconia.
It served as a key transportation hub for the Lakes Region and the broader area, connecting to lines leading to Boston and Montreal.
While passenger service ended in 1965, the building has been repurposed for commercial use and remains a historical landmark reminding visitors of the importance of the railroad era in the Lakes Region.
