(AUGUST 10, 2007 – Weirs, NH.) The
Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society is teaming up with
Oldies 99 and 104.9 to host an end-of-the season Poker
Run and Classic Car Show on Saturday, August 25, 2007 (rain
date of Saturday, September 15th). Entry fee is $20 per
person to benefit the Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society.
The 2007 LWHS Poker Run begins and ends at the Lake Winnipesaukee
Museum on Route 3, Weirs Beach, with registration from
9am to 10am. Cars have 3 hours to complete the Poker Run
and to return for the Classic Car Show that follows in
the Museum’s upper parking lot from 1pm to 3pm.
1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded to the best poker
hand. Food, music and entertainment, as well as a 50/50
raffle, will be held at the Car Show. Each participant
will receive bags of goodies and a special dash plaque
for their car. Poker Run prizes include a getaway at the
Inns & Spa at Mill Falls, Meredith, and Funspot Gift
Cards. Poker Run stops include the Pine Cone Café in
Melvin Village, Alton Circle Grocery in Alton, The Wineing
Butcher in Gilford and Kellerhaus in Weirs Beach.

Proceeds of the event will benefit the Lake Winnipesaukee
Historical Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established
to preserve and promote the history and heritage of Lake
