camp menotomy
MEREDITH, NH

To Menotomy campers, summer brings the scent of pines in the sun, the smell of wood smoke from a burning campfire, the sound of water splashing on the shore, and rain dropping on the tent roof.

With the first signs of Spring, these thoughts are aroused in the memories of old campers and they begin wishing for another camping season.

The 1956 season marks the 18th year that Girl Scouts from Arlington and many sections of New England have camped at Menotomy. For eighteen summers, girls have come to this White Mountain region in New Hampshire, just outside the village of Meredith, to enjoy life in the open and to share their varied experiences.

One hundred and five miles from Arlington - Menotomy's far-awayness is part of its charm for those who love the rugged out-of-doors.
